as you prepare for your upcoming birth experience

The Retreat Experience

Day One

Lunch on your own prior to checking in

12:00 pm ~ Check into your beautiful, blissful spa suite at the lovely Collins Inn

The workshop meets from 1:00 pm - 5:30pm

We will get aquainted with one another, get familiar wtih the stages of labor,

practice pain coping and breathing techniques, learn creative back labor strategies

experience a relaxation session which will help enhance your sleep

and you will be given an overnight assignment

6:30 pm - Enjoy an elegant candlelit dinner in the dining room

The remainder of the evening is yours ... go for a walk on the beach

and spend a relaxing, romantic evening in your spa suite

Day Two

9:00 am ~ Breakfast served in your suite

The workshop meets from 10:00 am - 5:30 pm

Introduction of more pain coping and breathing techniques,

discussion of medical procedures and cesarean birth

plus experience the unforgettable "Father's Ice Journey", a realistic labor simulation

Lunch included

Dinner out on your own. Enjoy Ocean Shores!

Day Three

Breakfast/brunch and late afternoon lunch included

Check out of your suite no later than noon

The workshop meets from noon - 5:30pm

You will have time to sleep in, enjoy breakfast

and/or go for a walk on the beach before the workshop begins

This day's workshop will include a review of the techniques,

waterbirth information, creation of your Birth Plan and

the "Mother's Ice Journey" experience - a labor dress rehearsal

Weekend Getaway fee: $795.00 per couple (maximum of 5 couples)

*Your full non-refundable payment is due at the time you register.

If you deliver early and cannot attend the retreat,

you will receive a gift certificate to use for a future two-night stay at the Inn.

The fee includes your two night stay in a beautiful view suite with fireplace and jetted tub,

delicious meals, all class supplies/handouts and the "Birth Preparation Workshop"

plus a complimentary DVD of the film "The Business of Being Born".

You might want to consider arriving a day early or staying the day after the workshop

so you can share some additional free time together at the Collins Inn

and exploring Ocean Shores and the beaches.
