the 2-day Birth Preparation Workshop which includes the "Ice Journey".
Both workshops provide you with a wonderful opportunity to
"hang out" with other expectant parents and to make new friends!

The "Ice Journey" has generated a lot of interest from people who have viewed my website.
It is very difficult to fully explain the experience ... it truly is something you need to witness and
experience in person. There is no script, but rather my narration during the "Ice Journey" flows
from what I learn about the expectant parents in the initial stages of the childbirth class
regarding their fears, concerns, worries, needs, preferences, personalities, relationships, etc.
Basically, it is a very realistic and heartfelt labor simulation that goes above and beyond
just focusing on contractions. We go to a much deeper level that involves the emotional,
mental, spiritual as well as the physical power and influence of the birthing experience
with an emphasis on nurturing and strengthening their "couple" relationship.

Are you considering the possibility of becoming a doula or are you a recent graduate of a doula training program? Would you like the opportunity to apprentice and train with an experienced doula/childbirth educator? The apprentice would make a minimum of a 3-6 month commitment, have the ability to be on call 24/7 and be willing to assist at births and in "The Birth Preparation Workshop".
